        Meets weekly 9:30am-1pm 

      Walk at 9:30am; painting workshop at 10am $25 (beginners welcome)

  • Saturdays’ Bagels & Brushes Plein Air & in Studio

       Open Studio & Plein Air Painting on the refuge  (In studio space is limited call ahead          to reserve) 8:30am-1pm $10

  • Saturday ‘Studio Soiree’

     Music, Watercolor / Mixed Media and Inspiration from the Masters

    ‘Farm to Table’ Appetizers,  Local Wine & Cider 6pm-9pm  $65 pp

Upcoming ‘Spring 2025’ Watercolor from Nature and Still Life   Watercolor 101 Beginners Series Class 4 weeks.  Discover the use of brushes, paper, paint, and palettes to begin, then pick a brush and and enjoy watercolor with encouraging, fun and simple prompts! The class is guided by demonstrations throughout, beginning with the four basic techniques using pigment and water. Your newly learned skills will be used to create simple landscapes using value, shape and texture. When your paintings are complete they can be matted and framed. Four sessions, include simple color theory, drawing basics , intro to composition with small still life and landscape paintings. No experience necessary, all materials provided.

Spring 2025: The Art of Paper Making for Adults  Dates TBD  Weekday 10am-1pm / Weekend 6pm-8:30pm
Using recycled papers and natural materials we will come discover the art of paper making in the Maxwell Mays Art Studio. Using different types of gathered materials we will create a natural pulp which will be used to begin the paper making process. No experience necessary, all materials provided.

Spring 2025 Glass Painting Series Beginning with the image of 4 seasonal birds, Gold Finch, Hummingbird, Owl and Cardinal we will celebrate the seasons! Follow step-by-step instructions to create your own hand painted glass (stemless or stem)  A complete set of 4 glasses is offered.  No experience necessary, all materials provided. $30 member / $35  non-member per class.
